TillPoint BackOffice

One application for the daily work behind a convenience-store chain.

THE CHALLENGE

Bring disconnected store systems together.

Sales and employee time came from the cash register. Fuel levels came from a tank monitor. Supplier prices, deliveries, payroll statements, and bank activity arrived by email or file. Managers had to move between those sources to answer ordinary operating questions.

TillPoint connects those sources in one back-office application while keeping the existing equipment in place.

DELIVERY

A multi-module platform in six weeks.

The project was delivered for $35,000, based on the scope described below.

01 / REPORTING

Follow a sales number down to the receipt.

Background services collect current and historical register reports. Managers can review department sales, hourly traffic, tenders, and product activity, then filter transactions and inspect the receipt behind a total. Where available, a transaction can be aligned with nearby camera footage for human review.

02 / FUEL

See inventory, prices, orders, and margin together.

TillPoint connects register sales with fuel costs and tank readings. Staff can review gallons and gross margin, compare supplier prices imported from email, create fuel orders, reconcile deliveries, and publish approved retail prices to the register. The dashboard shows current gallons on hand, capacity, ullage, fill level, temperature, tank status, and recent gallons sold by grade. Archived tank reports retain alarm, delivery, and test history.

03 / FINANCE

Keep financial work close to store activity.

Payroll brings register clock entries and imported statements into one review flow, including open punches and local corrections. Accounting supports statement imports, transaction categorization, reconciliation, and reports built from reviewed records. AI can suggest categories, but a person approves what is saved.

04 / PRODUCTS

Maintain the pricebook and the register connection.

The product workspace covers PLUs, costs, margins, departments, tax and age-check rules, and price groups. Users can scan items into groups and send approved changes back to the register. For active promotions, TillPoint creates poster artwork in a background queue, tracks its status, and rotates ready images on store TVs. Lottery activity and register configuration are available in the same application.

05 / ASSISTANCE

Use AI for specific tasks, with people in control.

AI helps identify products from barcode and package images, drafts register descriptions, suggests accounting categories, and creates promotion posters. A camera review screen summarizes observable activity for a person to check; it does not identify people or decide intent. A separate Store 360 view turns camera references into a navigable panorama.

BEHIND THE SCREENS

Built around the systems already in the store.

Scheduled workers collect register periods and receipts, import email attachments, refresh tank data, synchronize payroll and accounting inputs, prepare promotion posters, and manage camera clips. The application runs on a local back-office host and is available to authorized users on the private store network.
